Medical College Infrastructure

1. 1. Library:

The library is situated in the first floor of the College building. It has the seating capacity of 50 pupil at a time. Library has a rich collection of 10,020 books which is related with Unani, Ayurveda, Modern Medicine, journals, and periodicals. We have 7584 Unani Medicines related books, 1932 Modern Medicines related books, 296 Medical Journals and 208 other books.

2. 2. Lecturer Halls:

We have five Lecture halls of eighty square meter for sixty students with proper electricity supply, audio-visual teaching aids , coolers and comfortable sitting arrangement preferably theatre type.

3. 3. Seminar or Conference or Examination Hall:

A large hall with sitting capacity for more than Two hundred seats are available within the college premises for meeting, seminar, conference, symposia, examination, counseling, etc. The hall has adequate electrical and sitting arrangement and audio-visual system facilities.

4. 4. Herbal Garden:

Herbal garden is situated in the area of around 3233 sq.mt. The garden is enriched with several herbs, which are practically used for hospital patients. This garden also contains several distinguishing species of various herbs. Various trees and plants are marked with their common names in Malayalam, Urdu and in English languages with their basic properties, making it easy for any layman to grasp the significance of medicinal use of herbs.

Total Number of Species available: 262.

Total Number of Medicinal Plants: 164.

5. 5. Hostel:

Comfortable accommodation, wholesome food and ample recreational facilities make sure that the students have an invigorating life in the campus after class hours. Markaz Unani Medical College and Hospital is providing separate hostel for both Boys and Girls with the capacity intake of 200 numbers with mess facility and separate wardens to look after the premises.

6. 6. Computer Lab

College has a fully equipped Computer Lab to train students in Computer Applications & internet facility so as to keep our students updated with the latest developments in the field of Herbal Medicine, Modern Medicine and other allied subjects.

7. 7. Sports & Recreation:

We have separate common rooms for both boys and girls with indoor games. We have play grounds for outdoor games such as Cricket, Football, Volleyball e.t.c so as to rejuvenate the students with sports and leisure.

8. 8. Prayer Area;

We have separate praying areas for both boys and girls in our Medical College Campus.
